Pink Blush

Is there really even a cuter shop name than shop Pink Blush?? I mean, its pretty darn cute! Back when I was prego with Blakely I purchased my first item from them and fell in LOVE with the quality and cuteness!  //I included a picture down below//

I was so excited when Alisha from shop pink blush reached out and wanted to collab, of course not only for me but for my friends to also win a $50 shop credit. Since spring is right around the corner I picked out a super cute kimono from their shop. I love love love it! This kimono will definitely be on repeat. Did you know shop pink blush offers maternity and women clothing?

Kimonos are so easy to dress up or down in my opinion. Next time I wear mine I'll pair it with some distressed short and a tank for a more casual look. Be sure to check out their shop for some super cute and affordable clothing!

You can find the kimono I'm wearing here.

Lucky Charm CupCakes

One way my four year old and I like to spend our one on one time together is in the kitchen baking while brother and sister nap. Cupcake's are usually our go to and with littles they should always be fun and easy, thats why I love these Lucky Charm cupcakes.

I love being in the kitchen with her and making fun memories with just her and I. I let her pick out a cake box while on a target run to get her extra excited. Her go to is always funfetti! We decided to add green food coloring to the mix for St. Pattys Day.

Even though we aren't Irish we will take any and all excuses to get our holiday on! After the cupcakes were baked and cooled we frosted them and Joslyn decorated with the lucky charm cereal. If you have littles then you'll know cereal plus cupcakes is like heaven to them, and makes me the coolest mom ever.

Glambanners sent us some adorable St. Patricks Day cupcake toppers and a super cute banner which totally makes the cupcakes pop! If your throwing an event or party definitely check out her shop for some amazing party items.

Valentine's Party

Valentines is by far my favorite holiday. I just love seeing all the pink and reds placed subtely around the house, it really does feel like love is in the air! One of the newer traditions I started for my littles is throwing them a Valentines lunch.

This week one of their favorite movies came out so I decided to plan their lunch around the movie release to make it extra special for them.

For lunch they had a heart shaped sandwich, yogurt with sprinkles, teddy grahams, some festive popcorn, and mini cupcakes. So basically, my kids had sugar!

For the teddy grahams I just got a straw and dipped it in frosting to stick the hearts to the bears. Super cute, easy and the kids loved it!

For the popcorn, I melted white chocolate and drizzled it all over the popcorn and then added some cute heart sprinkles.

I bought their favorite yogurt and then just sprinkled it as well.. Sprinkles are a game changer I tell ya!

I set up a small craft after they finished eating as well. I found these super cute stickers that the kids got to color themselves which ended up being Joslyn's favorite. I also put out glitter poms, glitter stickers with glue sticks with construction paper.

Seeing how excited they get over the littlest things makes my mama heart so happy and all the extra effort so worth it!

Valentine Baked Donuts

You guys, two food posts in one week... Who am I?! The sweet tooth is strong! 💪🏻 Just call me Martha Stewart! 😜 Okay, okay I'll calm down.

I definitely prefer baking to actual full on cooking, so I'm very thankful to have a hubby who enjoys cooking and is pretty darn good at it too!

This week I was inspired by a sweet friend to make donuts, and let me tell ya it's a game changer! We will definitely be adding these to the baking train. Since the donuts aren't fried they are super moist and totally remind me of a cupcake consistency but better!! 🙌🏻

I came across quite a few donut recipes and I'm all about easy! So it totally made sense to try a cake box version. Here's the recipe I used below.

Donuts Recipe

Ingredients:

1 box Cake mix of your choice (I used strawberry)
1 egg
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water

Directions:

Whisk all ingredients until well blended
Spray donut pan with cooking spray
Fill donut pan about 2/3 full
Bake at 425 for 6-8 minutes or until donuts spring back when touched
Let cool 5-10 minutes

Tip: I put the batter into a large ziplock bag and cut a small corner at the bottom to use as my piping bag. Also, I filled my donut pan way too high, so next time I'm filling about 2/3 full.

Pink Icing Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 cup confectioners powder
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
1 tablespoon Milk

Directions:

Combine all ingredients and stir until mixed well. I gradually added a bit more confection sugar to make my frosting thicker. Or if you would like it thinner add more milk. For the two tones of pink I used gel food coloring.

Tip: Sprinkle/decorate your donut right after you dip each donut because the icing sets pretty quick!

We can't wait to try a new flavor next time. Hope you guys enjoy this recipe as much as I do! Please tag me if you decide to give it a try, I'd love to see yours! 🍩💗

You can find the donut pan I used here

Shot through the heart Brownies

Hey guys! It's been a minute okay more like a month... But it gets crazy with three littles and life in general. Now that the holiday season is over I'm hoping to put more time into this little blog.

Occassionally I get the itch to bake. It's something I've always enjoyed doing even when I was a little girl. Im so glad my oldest daughter likes being in the kitchen as well and we get to bond over lickin' the spoons and just being silly together. I showed Joslyn some cute things I found on Pinterest and she picked out these "Shot through the heart brownies" that are super cute and easy to make. Here's our little version or if you'd like to check out the pinterest source you can here

Ingredients:

Favorite brownie box
Pink or Red Frosting tube
Sprinkles
Tooth Picks
Heart Shaped Candy/Marshmellow's

Steps:

Make Brownies (lay foil into 13x9 pan and spray with butter to allow for easy heart shape cutter)
Let cool completely
Cut brownies into heart shapes
Decorate with frosting
Sprinkle immediately after you frost so they stick
Toothpick top left and bottom right of brownie and add heart shape candies!
Thats it! Super super easy friends! And totally kid friendly. Hope you enjoy.

And don't forget to let the littles mix, decorate and most importantly lick the spoons!

Santa Baby

Some close friends of ours invited us over to their house for a small gathering with our littles to meet Santa. All day yesterday my children talked about seeing him and they were super excited. Santa brought candy canes and read them a book. He also talked to each child there about why they were on the nice list and what they should do to stay off the naughty list.

Joslyn was so into it and even asked him why he came to Molly's house LOL 😂 She sat right on his lap and told him she wanted shopkins for Christmas. This is the first year Joslyn has been so into this holiday and actually understands everything. I love seeing all the magic through her eyes.

Next up was Hudson, who was so good the entire time until I decided to pick him up and put him on santas lap. As you can see from the picture he wasn't having it. As soon as I picked him up though he stopped and all was fine. But, you gotta have one crying kid, right?

When Blakely sat on his lap she just stared at him so unsure but never cried. I was so surprised! I thought for sure she would be the one to cry since she usually doesn't let strangers hold her. She even let me put her back on his lap for a second picture with all three of them, but as you can see Hudson still wasn't having it.

Can't wait to see how they react next year! This mom thing is so much fun. Also, heres a super easy kid friendly dessert to bring to any party where theres littles or adults. ☺️🎄🎅🏻
